As some of you may or may not already know, QuickBooks has released a 2011 Mac version. Over the years, QuickBooks for PC has always been the top dog when it came to a comparison to the Mac version. In the recent years, the Mac version of QuickBooks has really come into its own and is now playing hardball with PC QuickBooks software. Here are some examples of what Mac can now do:
Multi User – Mac now is allowing up to 5 people to edit & view QuickBooks data simultaneously.
User Permissions – QB Mac is now able to help owners give or remove access to certain areas of their QuickBooks data.
Export Report Data – Now you can export reports into Excel or Numbers for additional calculations.
Mileage Tracking – Employees can enter their auto mileage to submit for reimbursement. This also helps the owner with Job Costing.
Register Sorting – Find transactions faster by sorting your account registers by any of the columns available.
Customize Reports – allows users to more easily create custom reports with familiar Mac-like tools.
Layout Designer – Send out a more professional look by using the pre-made templates that QB Mac now offers. Customize them for your own individual invoices, estimates, etc.
My suggestion is to keep your eyes on the Mac version of QuickBooks. It’s only going to get better from here.
